Westlife
Westlife is an Irish boy band formed in 1998 in Sligo and Dublin. The original members were Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne, and Brian McFadden. They became famous for their love songs and smooth harmonies. Their first single, “Swear It Again,” was a big hit in 1999. Westlife had many number-one songs in the UK, including “Flying Without Wings,” “My Love,” and “You Raise Me Up.”
In 2004, Brian McFadden left the group to focus on his family and solo career. The remaining four members continued and stayed strong until they split in 2012. In 2018, they reunited and released new music, including the album Spectrum in 2019.
Westlife is known for emotional ballads and strong vocals. They have sold over 55 million records worldwide and are one of the best-selling boy bands in history. Their music continues to touch fans around the world.
