Ghana Michael Owusu Addo, Popular known professionally as Sarkodie, is a Ghanaian rapper and entrepreneur from Tema. His contributions to the Ghanaian music industry have earned him numerous accolades, including the Vodafone Ghana Music Award. He has been nominated for World Music Awards, Independent Music Awards and has been the recipient of several Ghana Music Award honors. He won Best Rap Act at the 2014 MTV Base Africa Music Awards, Best Hip Hop song at the 2014 World Independent Awards, and was named 8th, Most Bankable Artist in Africa by Forbes in 2013.
