Nigeria Nigerian Female Vocalist Yemi Eberechi Alade, also known as Yemi Alade, is a Nigerian Afro-pop singer who came to the glare of publicity after she won the maiden edition of the ‘Peak Talent Show’ in 2009. Since then, she has stood out and has gained public attention even more. The ‘King of all Queens’ was born on March 13, 1989, to a Yoruba father (James Alade) and an Igbo mother (Helen Uzoma) in Abia state, the main reason she is fondly called a “Yoruba-Igbo girl†Yemi Alade was born into a family of 7 as the 5th child of her parents.The father was a former commissioner of police. She Was schooling in Lagos, attending St Saviour British Primary School, before enrolling in Victory Grammar School, Lagos.
