Rayvanny
Rayvanny, born Raymond Shaban Mwakyusa on August 22, 1993, is a Tanzanian singer, songwriter, and performer. He started his music career in 2011 but became famous in 2016 when he joined WCB Wasafi, a label owned by Diamond Platnumz. His first hit song “Kwetu” made him popular across Africa. Rayvanny is known for mixing Bongo Flava and Afrobeat styles. In 2021, he started his own music label called Next Level Music. He has worked with many African artists, including Diamond Platnumz, Nasty C, and Zuchu. Rayvanny won the BET International Viewers’ Choice Award in 2017. His talent and passion continue to inspire young musicians in Africa. He is one of the leading voices in East African music.
