Eli Njuchi

Eli Njuchi, born Chifuniro Steven Magalasi, is a talented Malawian singer, songwriter, rapper and performer from Lilongwe. He began his musical journey at a young age, recording his first song in 2015 after initially performing as Stevovo. His breakthrough came with songs such as Illuminati and Zitatu, which helped establish his name in Malawi’s music industry. In 2018, he won the UMP Award for Best New Act, followed by Male Artist of the Year in 2019. Eli Njuchi is known for blending Afro-pop, dancehall, R&B and contemporary Malawian sounds. His projects include The Book of Z, The Book of Eli, Red Flag and Cifu.
