Sarkodie

Sarkodie is a Ghanaian rapper, songwriter, and entrepreneur widely regarded as one of Africa’s most influential hip-hop artists. Born Michael Owusu Addo on July 10, 1988, in Tema, Ghana, he began his career through underground rap battles before gaining national recognition. His breakthrough came with his debut album, Makye, released in 2009. Known for his fast-flowing delivery and strong lyrical ability, Sarkodie has released several successful projects and earned numerous awards, including BET Awards and Ghana Music Awards. He has collaborated with major African and international artists, helping promote African hip-hop globally. Sarkodie remains a respected figure in Ghanaian music.
