Simmy

Simmy, whose real name is Simphiwe Nhlangulela, is a talented South African singer and songwriter known for her neo-soul, neo-folk, and Afro-house music. She was born in KwaZulu-Natal and gained national attention after signing with Sun-El Musician’s EL World Music label.

Simmy rose to fame with her debut album Tugela Fairy in 2018, which featured hits like “Ubala” and “Ngiyesaba.” Her soothing voice and rich lyrics, often sung in isiZulu, have won her many fans. In 2020, she released her second album Tugela Fairy (Made of Stars), confirming her place in the music scene. Simmy is celebrated for blending traditional South African sounds with modern rhythms. She continues to shine as one of the country’s brightest young stars.
